Preamble
- An Ordinance to repeal the Infrastructure Development Trust Fund Ordinance, 1985 [Ord. No. 4/85], to dissolve the Infrastructure Development Trust Fund established therein, and to provide for consequential and ancillary matters connected thereof. [ 1st July, 2025 ] (Swk. L.N. 104/2025) Enacted by the Legislature of Sarawak— Short title and commencement
Section 1
—
(1)
This Ordinance may be cited as the Infrastructure
Development Trust Fund (Dissolution) Ordinance, 2025, and shall come into force on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
(2)
The Minister may appoint different dates for the coming into force of different parts or provisions of this Ordinance.
Interpretation
Section 2
In this Ordinance—
“appointed date” means the date appointed by the Minister under section 1;
“Consolidated Fund” means the Consolidated Fund established under the Constitution of the State of Sarawak;
“Fund” means the Infrastructure Development Trust Fund established under the Infrastructure Development Trust Fund
Ordinance, 1985 [Ord. No. 4/85]; and
“Minister”
means the
Minister charged with the responsibility for infrastructure development.

Dissolution of Fund
Section 3
On the date of coming into force of this Ordinance, the
Fund established thereunder is dissolved.
Section 4
Transfer of funds
All moneys in the Fund shall, on the appointed date, and subject to the direction of the State Financial Secretary be transferred into the Consolidated Fund.
Management fee
Section 5
The expenses of management and administration of the
Fund, if any, before its dissolution shall be paid out of the Fund.
Section 6
Prevention of difficulties or anomalies

(1)
Where any difficulty or anomaly arises in connection with the implementation of this Ordinance, the Minister may, by
Order, make such modifications to any provision of this Ordinance as may appear to him to be necessary for removing or preventing such difficulty or anomaly.
(2)
In this section, “modification” includes amendment, addition, deletion, substitution, adaptation, variation, alteration and non-application of any provision of this Ordinance.
Repeal
Section 7
The Infrastructure Development Trust Fund Ordinance,
1985 [Ord. No. 4/85] is repealed.
