Section 109
(1)
A Muslim marriage solemnized abroad, other than a marriage solemnized in a
Malaysia Embassy, High Commission or Consulate under section 24, shall be recognized as valid for all purposes of this Enactment if it is solemnized according to Hukum Syarak. –
(2)
A Muslim marriage solemnized in any other state in Malaysia shall be recognized as valid for all purposes of this Enactment if it is solemnized under the Islamic law relating to marriage of that state.
