Section 55
(1)
Where an application has been made for an operator’s licence under this Chapter, the Director General of Land Public Transport may, if for administrative reasons or on the ground of the urgency of the matter it thinks it is desirable so to do pending the determination of the application, issue to the applicant a short term operator’s licence for such period and subject to such conditions as it thinks fit.
(2)
A short term operator’s licence shall cease to have effect from the date on which the Director General of Land Public Transport gives his decision on the application, and in no case shall have effect for more than twelve months.
