Section 16A
(1)
Notwithstanding sections 15 and 16, the Director General shall grant to an applicant for legal aid a legal aid certificate in
Legal Aid 17
connection with any proceedings where the Minister has authorized the
Director General to give legal aid under subsection 12(3).
(2)
Any person to whom a legal aid certificate is granted under this section may be required to pay to the Director General a contribution in respect of the sums payable on his account.
