Section 81

In relation to awards granted to or in respect of persons who were members of those services that Article shall have effect with the substitution for references to Merdeka Day and to the thirtieth day of August, 1957, of references to Malaysia Day and the day before Malaysia Day.

For the purposes of that Article as it applies in relation to the former public services in Sarawak, there shall be treated as having had the force of law on the day before Malaysia Day, any administrative regulations providing for the payment of pensions, gratuities or allowances and any resolution of

Council Negri relating to the amount of any pension or allowance then in payment.
