Prescription of additional member institutions
of Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation Act 2011
For the purpose of promoting or maintaining the stability of the financial system or public confidence in that stability and on the recommendation of the Corporation and Bank Negara Malaysia, the
Minister may by order published in the Gazette, prescribe any development financial institution or any other person regulated and supervised by Bank Negara Malaysia, other than a financial institution defined in section 2, to be a member institution for the purposes of this
Act.
(2)
The order referred to in subsection (1) may provide that any provision of this Act shall not apply in respect of such person, or shall apply in respect of such person with modifications.
