Section 40
(1)
Any provisions or interpretation of the provisions under this Enactment which is inconsistent with Islamic Law shall be avoid to the extent of the inconsistency.
(2)
In the event of a lacuna or where any matter is not expressly provided for in this
Enactment, the Court shall apply Islamic Law.
