Notis Syor yang Dicadangkan bagi Bahagian-Bahagian Pilihan Raya Persekutuan dan Negeri dalam Negeri Sarawak Sebagaimana yang Telah Dikaji Semula Oleh Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya dalam Tahun 2026

Berikutan dengan kajian semula itu, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya bercadang untuk mengesyorkan dalam laporannya syor yang berikut:

tiada perubahan bilangan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan bagi Negeri Sarawak;

terdapat bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan yang terlibat dalam semakan semula dan tersentuh oleh syor yang dicadangkan;

jumlah bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya Negeri bagi Negeri Sarawak ditambah sebanyak tujuh belas (17) bahagian pilihan raya Negeri yang menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya

bagi maksud kajian semula persempadanan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya ini, terdapat pindaan dibuat kepada nama bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan yang melibatkan satu (1) bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan dalam Negeri Sarawak; dan

terdapat juga pindaan dibuat kepada nama bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya

Jumlah bilangan pemilih seramai 2,037,648 orang dalam Daftar Pemilih yang ditentukan oleh Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya iaitu yang telah diperakui dan diwartakan pada 29 Januari 2026 [P.U. (B) 35/2026] telah diguna pakai bagi maksud kajian semula persempadanan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan dan Negeri dalam

Negeri Sarawak.

Butiran terperinci syor yang dicadangkan bagi Negeri Sarawak berkenaan dengan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan dan Negeri yang baharu, pindaan dan perubahan nama sedia ada bagi bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan dan Negeri dan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan yang terlibat dalam semakan semula dan tersentuh oleh syor yang dicadangkan itu dinyatakan dalam Jadual Pertama.

Berikutan kajian semula persempadanan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan dan Negeri ini, bilangan pemilih bagi bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya persekutuan dan Negeri dalam Negeri Sarawak dinyatakan dalam Jadual Kedua.

Satu salinan syor yang dicadangkan itu berserta dengan rang pelan bahagian-bahagian pilihan raya bagi

Negeri

Sarawak boleh diperiksa mulai 1 September 2026 hingga dan termasuk 30 September 2026 semasa waktu pejabat biasa di tempat-tempat yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Ketiga dan boleh dimuat turun di tapak sesawang rasmi Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya.

Apa-apa representasi membantah syor yang dicadangkan hendaklah dikemukakan secara bertulis atau secara dalam talian kepada Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya dan dialamatkan kepada Pegawai Pilihan Raya Negeri Sarawak seperti di bawah:

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 4 OF PART II OF THE THIRTEENTH SCHEDULE TO

THE FEDERAL CONSTITUTION

NOTICE OF PROPOSED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FEDERAL AND

STATE CONSTITUENCIES IN THE STATE OF SARAWAK AS REVIEWED

BY THE ELECTION COMMISSION IN THE YEAR 2026

TAKE NOTICE that the Election Commission, in accordance with the requirements of

Clause (2) of Article 113 of the Federal Constitution, has reviewed the division of the State of Sarawak into federal constituencies and State constituencies.

Consequent upon the review, the Election Commission proposes to recommend in their report the following recommendations:

no alteration in the number of federal constituencies for the State of Sarawak;

there are federal constituencies involved in the revision and affected by the proposed recommendations;

the number of State constituencies for the State of Sarawak is increased by seventeen (17) State constituencies making the overall total of the

for the purposes of the review of the delimitation of constituencies, there are amendments made to the name of the federal constituencies involving one (1) federal constituency in the State of Sarawak; and

there are also amendments made to the name of the State constituencies involving ten (10) State constituencies in the State of Sarawak.

The total number of 2,037,648 electors in the Electoral Rolls determined by the Election Commission which was endorsed and gazetted on 29 January 2026

[P.U. (B) 35/2026] is used for the purposes of the review of the delimitation of the federal and State constituencies in the State of Sarawak.

Particulars of the proposed recommendations for the State of Sarawak regarding the new federal and State constituencies, amendments and alterations to the existing names of the federal and State constituencies and the federal constituencies involved in the revision and affected by the proposed recommendations are specified in the First Schedule.

Due to this review of the delimilitation of the federal and State constituencies, the number of electors for the federal and State constituencies in the State of Sarawak are specified in the Second Schedule.

A copy of the proposed recommendations together with the draft constituencies plan for the State of Sarawak may be inspected from 1 September 2026 up to and including 30 September 2026 during normal office hours at the places specified in the Third Schedule and can be downloaded from the official website of the Election Commission.

According to paragraph 4(b) of Part II of the Thirteenth Schedule to the Federal Constitution, representations with respect to the proposed recommendations may be made to the Election Commission within one month after the date of publication of this Notice.

In accordance with section 5 of Part II of the Thirteenth Schedule to the Federal Constitution, a local enquiry will be held for representations objecting to the proposed recommendations from the following parties:

the State Government;

any local authority whose area is wholly or partly comprised in the constituencies affected by the recommendation; or

a body of one hundred or more persons whose names are shown on the current electoral rolls of the constituencies in question.

Any representation objecting to the proposed recommendations shall be submitted in writing or online to the
