Section 10
of ORDINAN DARURAT (STANDARD MINIMUM PERUMAHAN, PENGINAPAN DAN KEMUDAHAN PEKERJA) (PINDAAN) 2021
Seksyen 10
Section 26 of the Act is amended—
(a)
in the shoulder note, by inserting after the words “power and duties”
the words “and appoint other persons”;
(b)
by renumbering the existing section as subsection (1);
(c)
in subsection (1) as renumbered—
(i)
by inserting after the words “the Employment Act 1955” the words
“, subsection 3(1A) of the Labour Ordinance [Sabah Cap. 67] or subsection 3(1A) of the Labour Ordinance [Sarawak Cap. 76]”; and
(ii)
by inserting after the words “the Child Care Centre Act 1984 [Act 308]”
the words “and any other officers”; and
(d)
by inserting after subsection (1) as renumbered the following subsection:
“(2)
Notwithstanding subsection (1), the Minister may, subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be determined, appoint any other suitable person to carry out all or any of the powers conferred upon

the Director General by this Act and every duty so performed and every power so exercised shall be deemed to have been performed and exercised for the purposes of this Act.”.
