of Ordinan No. 33 (Kuasa-Kuasa Perlu) Dharurat 1970
5B thereof, the following new section Sc—
“exercisc = $c, (1) |Every contributor shall at his of option. A ‘ ° °
option exercisable as hereinafter provided, be entitled either to cease to contribute or to continue to contribute in accordance with the provisions of this Enactment.
(2)
If a contributor who is a bachelor or a Widower without children of a pensionable age opts to cease to contri-bute under sub-section (1), his rights under {this Enactment shall cease and there shall be payable to him the follow-ing amount subject to deduction of any sums due under this Enactment—
(a)
in the case of a contributor who is al bachelor, the total amount of his contributions together with com-ound interest thereon calculated ith annual rests at the rate of two and one-half per centum; and
(b)
in the case of a contributor who is widower without children of a ensionable age, the total amount of the contributions which he has paid ince the death of his last wife or the ceasing to be of a pensionable age of his last child, whichever svent shall last have happened
Goethe with compound interest thereon calculated with annual rests t the rate of two and one-half per entum.
(3)
If a contributor who is married or is a Widower with children of a pension-able abe opts to cease to contribute under sub-section (1), his widow or children, as the case may be, shall be entitled on his death |to a pension computed on the basis of th¢ interest acquired by such contri-butor|at the date of the cessation of his contributions in accordance with the tables} and Rules hereinafter referred to.
(4)
The option shall be exercisable by written notification addressed to the
Directors—
(a)
n or before the 14th day of
September, 1970, in case of a con-tributor who is still in the service lof the Government; or

Nature of Amendments or before the 14th day of cember, 1970, in case of a con-tnibutor who has retired from the service of the Government.
The Jexercise by a contributor of the option shall be irrevocable.
