Preamble
- PADA menjalankan kuasa-kuasa yang diberi oleh seksyen 12.Akta Suruhanjaya Pilihanraya 1957, Yang di-Pertuan Agong membuat peraturan-peraturan yang berikut:
Seksyen 2
Jadual kepada Akta Suruhanjaya Pilihanraya 1957 adalah dipinda dengan menggantikan perenggan 1 dengan perenggan 1 baru yang berikut:
"1. GAJI DAN ELAUN TETAP:
(d)
Elaun Memangku:
Sekiranya Timbalan Pengerusi atau mana-mana ahli melaksanakan fungsi-fungsi Pengerusi atau Timbalan Pengerusi selama suatu tempoh yang lebih dari dua puluh lapan hari, dia adalah berhak mendapat elaun memangku, yang sama nilainya dengan perbezaan di antara gaji atau elaun tetapnya, mengikut mana yang berkenaan, dengan gaji jawatan yang dipangkuinya.".

ELECTION COMMISSION ACT 1957 ELECTION COMMISSION (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE) REGULATIONS 1989
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Election Commission Act 1957, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following regulations:
Seksyen 1
These Regulations may be cited as the Election Commission (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations 1989 and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st October 1988.
Seksyen 2
The Schedule to the Election Commission Act 1957 is amended by substituting paragraph 1 with the following new paragraph 1:
"1. SALARIES AND FIXED ALLOWANCES:
(d)
Acting allowance:
In the event of the Deputy Chairman or any member performing the functions of the Chairman or Deputy Chairman during a period exceeding twenty eight days, he shall be entitled to an acting allowance, equivalent to the difference between his salary or fixed allowance, as the case may be, and the salary of the position he is acting in.".
