Seksyen 2

Subseksyen 54(6) Akta ditambah dan diubah suai—

(a)

dengan memotong perkataan “dan” di hujung perenggan (l);

(b)

dengan menggantikan noktah di hujung perenggan

(m)

dengan perkataan “; dan”; dan

(c)

dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan (m) perenggan yang berikut:

“(n)

ahli Kumpulan Wang itu memerlukan pembiayaan bagi maksud membantunya dalam menampung komitmen kewangannya yang terjejas disebabkan oleh pandemik Penyakit Koronavirus 2019

(COVID-19) bagi notis pengeluaran yang diberikan kepada

Lembaga sehingga 30 April 2022.”.

EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND (ADDITION AND MODIFICATION TO THE PURPOSES

FOR WITHDRAWAL UNDER SUBSECTION 54(6)) ORDER 2022

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 54(7) of the Employees Provident Fund Act 1991 [Act 452], the Minister, after consulting the Board, makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Employees Provident Fund

(Addition and

Modification to the

Purposes for

Withdrawal under

Subsection 54(6)) Order 2022.

(2)

This Order has effect for the period from 15 April 2022 to 30 June 2022.

Addition and modification to the purposes for withdrawal under subsection 54(6)

Seksyen 2

Subsection 54(6) of the Act is added and modified—

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (l);

(b)

by substituting for the full stop at the end of paragraph (m)

the words “; and”; and

(c)

by inserting after paragraph (m) the following paragraph:

“(n)

the member of the Fund requires financing for the purpose of assisting him in covering his financial commitment which is affected due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic for the notice of withdrawal given to the Board until 30 April 2022.”.
