MINISTERS OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Ministerial Functions Act 1969 [Act 2], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Ministers of the Federal Government

(Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2025.

(2)

Subparagraphs 2(a) and (c) come into operation on the date this Order is published in the Gazette.

(3)

Subparagraph 2(b)

is deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 2025.

Amendment of Schedule 2.

The Ministers of the Federal Government Order 2023 [P.U. (A) 27/2023]

is amended in the Schedule—

(a)

in respect of the Prime Minister’s Department, by deleting the item

“Electronic Government Activities Act 2007 [Act 680]” in the

“Department/Subject” column;

(b)

in respect of the Ministry of Home Affairs—

(i)

by inserting after the item “Malaysian Maritime Enforcement

Agency (MMEA)” in the “Department/Subject” column the item

“Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency”; and

(ii)

by inserting after the item “Independent Police Conduct

Commission Act 2022 [Act 839]” in the “Department/Subject”

column the item “Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency

Act 2024 [Act 860]”; and

(c)

in respect of the Ministry of Digital, by inserting after the item

“Digital Signature Act 1997 [Act 562]” in the “Department/Subject” column the item “Electronic Government Activities Act 2007 [Act 680]”.
