Appropriation of prisons to categories of prisoners

(1)

The Commissioner General may, from time to time, by order—

(a)

appropriate certain prisons—

(i)

for effecting the separation of different categories of prisoners;

(ii)

for the training of different categories of prisoners;

or

(iii)

for any other reason.

(b)

limit the categories of prisoners in certain prisons.

(2)

A prisoner of the category for which a prison is to be designated may be lawfully conveyed to and imprisoned in that prison despite the warrant or order for the imprisonment of that prisoner shall have been issued by a court not having its ordinary jurisdiction in the place where the prison is situated.
