IMMIGRATION ACT 1959/63
IMMIGRATION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2022
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 54
of the
Immigration Act 1959/63[Act 155], the Minister, with the concurrence of the Chief Ministers of Sabah and of Sarawak, makes the following regulations:
Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
These regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Amendment)
Regulations 2022.
(2)
These Regulations come into operation on 16 March 2022.
Amendment of Third Schedule 2.
The Immigration Regulations 1963 [L.N. 228/1963], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in the Third Schedule—
(a)
in item V—
(i)
by substituting for subitem (vii) the following subitem:
“(vii)
For any non-Malaysian citizen permitted by the
Government to join the retirement programme or Malaysia as a second home programme
(a)
RM500.00 per year or part of a year for an application fee
(b)
RM5000.00 per issuance for a processing fee”;
and

(ii)
by inserting after subitem (vii) the following subitem:
“(viia) For the dependant of the holder of
Visit Pass issued to a non-Malaysian citizen permitted by the
Government to join the retirement programme or Malaysia as a second home programme per year or part of a year for an application fee
(b)
RM2500.00 per issuance for a processing fee”;
and
(b)
in item VIII—
(i)
by deleting the word “and” at the end of subitem (a); and
(ii)
by inserting after subitem (a) the following subitems:
“(aa) a processing fee for any
Visit
Pass issued to a non-Malaysian citizen permitted by the Government to join the retirement programme or Malaysia as a second home programme in Sabah or Sarawak;
(ab)
a processing fee for any
Visit
Pass issued to the dependant of the holder of Visit Pass issued to a non-Malaysian citizen permitted by the Government to join the retirement programme or Malaysia as a second home programme in Sabah or Sarawak; and”.
