- PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 6(1A) Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti 1971 [Akta 30], Yang di-Pertuan Agong membuat perintah yang berikut: Nama

dengan menggantikan subperenggan (1) dengan subperenggan yang berikut:
“(1)
Maka hendaklah ditubuhkan suatu Institusi Pelajaran Tinggi yang mempunyai taraf Universiti yang menjadi suatu pertubuhan perbadanan bagi maksud mengadakan, memajukan dan mengembangkan pelajaran tinggi dalam bidang Pemuliharaan Biodiversiti dan Alam Sekitar,
Teknologi Maklumat, Komunikasi dan Kreatif, Kelestarian Transformasi
Komuniti dan bidang lain yang perlu serta mengadakan penyelidikan dan pengumpulan dan pemajuan pengetahuan dan penyebaran pengetahuan itu dalam bidang pengajian itu”;

, dalam teks bahasa kebangsaan, dengan menggantikan perkataan “Yayasan pelajaran tinggi” dengan perkataan “Institusi Pelajaran Tinggi”; dan

dengan menggantikan subperenggan (3) dengan subperenggan yang berikut:

Tapak Universiti Malaysia Sarawak adalah bertempat di Lot 2309 (Kampus Timur), Lot 15697, Lot 15698 dan Lot 15699,
Blok 26, Daerah Tanah Muara Tuang, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, Malaysia.”.

UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA SARAWAK (INCORPORATION) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2025
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 6(1A) of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 [Act 30], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order: Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Incorporation) (Amendment) Order 2025. Amendment of paragraph 2 2. The Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Incorporation) Order 1992 [P.U. (A) 543/1992] is amended in paragraph 2—
(a)
by substituting for subparagraph (1) the following subparagraph:
“(1)
There shall be a Higher Educational Institution having the status of a University, which shall be a body corporate, for the purpose of providing, promoting and developing higher education in the fields of
Biodiversity and Environment Conservation, Information, Communication and Creative Technology, Sustainability of Community Transformation and other fields necessary, as well as to provide for research and the accumulation and advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of such knowledge in the fields of study”;
(b)
in subparagraph (2), in the national language text, by substituting for the words “Yayasan pelajaran tinggi” the words “Institusi Pelajaran Tinggi”;
and

(c)
by substituting for subparagraph (3) the following subparagraph:
“(3)
The site of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak shall be located at Lot 2309 (East Campus), Lot 15697, Lot 15698 and Lot 15699, Block 26,
Muara Tuang Land District, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, Malaysia.”.
