Section 21

When a medical practitioner has made a post-mortem examination of the body of any deceased person, such medical practitioner shall, unless he knows that a Magistrate intends to hold an inquiry in respect of the death, within twenty-four hours after the conclusion of the examination forward a certificate in the prescribed form to the Registrar or any Deputy Registrar of the District within which the body of such person was found, and the cause of death as stated in such certificate shall be entered on the prescribed form.
