Motor vehicle road charge

Section 88C
(1)
Subject to the provisions of this Part, there shall be imposed on every motor vehicle entering Malaysia by land through an authorized point of entry a motor vehicle road charge.
(2)
The Minister may by order published in the Gazette—

(a)
prescribe the types or classes of motor vehicles in respect of which the charges are payable;
(b)
prescribe the amount of charges payable; and
(c)
specify the mode of payment of the charges and the place at which such payment is to be collected.
(3)
The charge imposed under this section shall be paid by the person for the time being driving the motor vehicle.
