Section 55
—
(1)
No person shall carry on any salvage or excavation work in any waters within the territory of Sarawak for the purpose of finding any underwater heritage, except with a licence approved by the Director.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence.
(3)
Section 19(2), (3) and (4) shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to the discovery of underwater heritage within the territory of Sarawak.
