Power of investigation
of Strata (Subsidiary Titles) Ordinance, 2019

(1)
The Director may investigate the commission of any offence under this Ordinance.
(2)
The Director may authorize in writing any person to exercise the powers of enforcement under this Ordinance (referred to in this Part collectively as “authorized officer”).
(3)
Every authorized officer shall be issued with an authority card to be signed by the Director.
(4)
Whenever an authorized officer exercises any of its powers of enforcement under this Ordinance, he shall on demand produce to the person against whom the power is being exercised the authority card issued to him under subsection (3).
(5)
In any case relating to the commission of an offence under this Ordinance, the Director or an authorized officer carrying out an investigation may exercise all or any of the powers of a police officer of whatever rank in relation to police investigation in seizable cases as provided under the Criminal Procedure Code
[Act 593], and such powers shall be in addition to the powers provided under this Part and not in derogation thereof.
