(2)

(a)

No person shall collect, sell, offer for sale or export from or import into the State, any nest of any swiftlets or any recognizable part or derivative thereof without a licence from the Controller.

(b)

No person shall, without a licence from the Controller, build, erect, maintain or set up any building or structure for the purposes of harbouring, or providing facilities or environment for, swiftlets to make or create nests thereon with a view to collecting and taking edible birds’ nests for sale or trade.

(3)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2), or who fails to comply with any condition imposed in a licence issued by the

Controller for the purposes of subsection (2), shall be guilty of an offence: Penalty, a fine of five thousand ringgit.
