Section 2

Manner in which Gazette shall be published

Subject to section 4, the Gazette shall be published in separate Parts containing the respective matter specified in the

Schedule.

(2)

It shall not be necessary to indicate in Part V of the

Gazette, or in such Part as may from time to time contain matter not directed to be published in a separate Part, what matter has been published in other Parts thereof.

(3)

Any Part of the Gazette published in accordance with this

Ordinance shall be deemed to be published by order of the

Government within the meaning of the definition of “Gazette” in the

Interpretation Ordinance, 2005 [Cap. 61].

(4)

The definition of the word “Gazette” in this section shall be as defined in the Interpretation Ordinanance, 2005 [Cap. 61].

Each Part of the Gazette to be bound separately annually under the direction of the State Attorney General 3.⎯(1)

The matter in each Part of the Gazette shall, as soon as possible after the end of each calendar year, with such correction of grammatical and printing errors (including verbal amendments not affecting the substance of the matter) as the State Attorney General may by notification in the Gazette direct, be bound in separate volumes with indexes prepared under the direction of the State

Attorney General, and such volumes shall in addition contain⎯

(a)

in the case of the annual volume containing the matter in Part I of the Gazette, an alphabetical list, prepared under the direction of the State Attorney General, of the Ordinances in force at the end of the calendar year in question and of any

Ordinances enacted prior to the end of such calendar year which have not yet been brought into force;

(b)

in the case of the annual volume containing the matter in Part II of the Gazette⎯

(i)

a list, prepared under the direction of the State

Attorney General by reference to the written law under which the same was enacted, of all subsidiary legislation in force at the end of the calendar year in question and of any subsidiary legislation enacted prior to the end of such calendar year which has not yet been brought into force;

and

(ii)

such other information with regard to the matter directed to be in Part II of the Gazette as the State

Attorney General shall see fit to include.

(2)

Subsection (1) shall take effect as if they were directions given by Order under section 4, and may be amended by Order made thereunder.
