Section 44
(1)
No person, other than a proper officer, shall take or send out of Malaysia any archives except—
(a)
with the prior written consent of the Director General;
and
(b)
in accordance with such terms and conditions as may be prescribed.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
