Section 51

Any person may be compelled for the purposes of section 50

to attend and give evidence and answer questions and produce documents in like manner and subject to the like conditions as he may be so compelled for the purposes of a preliminary enquiry into the case of a person accused of an offence triable by the High

Court, and every such person shall in respect of all evidence and answers given by him be legally bound to state the truth.
