Section 40
(1)
It shall be the duty of a water distribution licensee to cause the water in its water mains and other pipes—
(a)
used for the supply of water; or
(b)
having a fire-hydrant fixed on them, to be maintained at such pressure as may be set out in the subsidiary legislation made under this Act.
(2)
A water distribution licensee who contravenes subsection
(1)
commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit.
