Section 28 of the principal Act is amended—

(a)
in subsection (1), by substituting for the word “Protector”
the words “Social Welfare Officer”;
(b)
in subsection (2), by substituting for the words “released on a bond on conditions to be determined by the Court”
the words “liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both”; and
(c)
by deleting subsection (3).
