Power of Inspector to enter and inspect
of Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998
(2)
In the course of an inspection under this section the Inspector may—
(a)
inspect, test and examine any apparatus, appliance, equipment or instrument used or found in the facility or premises;
(b)
inspect, test, examine, take, remove and detain samples of blood, blood products, human tissue or fluid or any product of the human body, dialysate, chemicals or pharmaceuticals found in the facility or premises;
(c)
inspect, test, examine, take and remove all containers, articles and other things that the Inspector reasonably believes to contain or to have contained blood or blood

products, human tissue or fluid or any product of the human body, dialysate, chemicals or pharmaceuticals;
(d)
inspect any test or procedure or operation performed or carried out to ensure compliance with the provisions of this Act; and
(e)
inspect, make copies of and take extracts from any book, document, record or electronic material relating to the private healthcare facility or service or the premises.
