(a)
who intends to cease carrying on operations of an operator;
or
(b)
who intends to cease being an agent of a foreign operator, shall notify the Director General in writing of that fact sixty days before the date of cessation.

(2)
Upon receipt of the notification under subsection (1), the
Director General may cancel the registration of the registered person from such date as the Director General may determine.
(3)
Any registered person who contravenes subsection (1), commits an offence and shall on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
