Section 17
The principal Act is amended by substituting for section 12
the following section:
“Shortening period of treatment and rehabilitation

The Director General may, on the recommendation of a Rehabilitation Officer, shorten the period of treatment and rehabilitation of any person at any Rehabilitation Centre or
Service Centre or the period of treatment and rehabilitation in a community of any person for such reasons as the Director General thinks fit.”.
