This Act may be cited as the Police (Amendment)
Act 2012.
(2)
This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette.

Preamble
- An Act to amend the Police Act 1967. [ ] ENACTED by the Parliament of Malaysia as follows: Short title and commencement
Section 2
Amendment of section 21
The Police Act 1967 [Act 344], which is referred to as the
“principal Act” in this Act, is amended in paragraph 21(1)(c) by deleting the words “and processions”.
Section 3
Deletion of sections 27, 27a, 27b and 27c
The principal Act is amended by deleting sections 27, 27a,
27b and 27c.
Section 4
Effect of deletion
(1)
On the coming into operation of this Act, all matters relating to a licence for convening or collecting any assembly or forming any procession under section 27 pending before the
Officer in Charge of a Police District or Commissioner or Chief
Police Officer shall not be proceeded with; and all licences issued for any assembly and procession to be convened, collected or formed before the date of coming into operation of this Act shall cease to have effect.
(2)
Any civil or criminal action pursuant to section 27, 27a or 27b of the principal Act which is pending before the date of coming into operation of this Act shall not be affected by this
Act and shall continue as if this Act had not been enacted.
