(2)
The Board shall grant a general licence to the Director
General of Health to issue separate licences on behalf of the Board to any person applying for a licence to undertake any of the activities referred to in the classification of licences under this Act where such activities are in respect of medical purposes.

The Director General of Health shall process the application in the same manner as is provided under this Act for the processing of a licence issued by the Board and any reference hereinafter to the expression “licence” shall, unless the context otherwise requires, mean a licence issued by the appropriate authority, being the Director
General of Health or the Board, as the case may be.
