(2)

Upon such application being made, the Board shall determine if the activity to be licensed is in respect of a medical purpose or a purpose other than a medical purpose.

(3)

If the Board determines that the activity to be licensed is in respect of a medical purpose, the Board shall refer the application to the Director General of Health for the Director General of Health to consider the application.

(4)

If the Board determines that the activity to be licensed is in respect of a purpose other than a medical purpose, the Board shall proceed to deal with the application.

(5)

The appropriate authority may thereafter issue to the applicant a licence in the prescribed form upon payment of the prescribed fee or may, if it thinks fit, refuse to issue such licence.

(6)

Every licence issued under this Act shall, unless sooner cancelled or suspended, continue in force for such period not exceeding three years as the appropriate authority may in each case determine.
