Section 6
(1)
Copyright shall be conferred by this section on every work which is eligible for copyright and which—
(a)
being a literary, musical or artistic work or cinematograph film is first published in Malaysia;
(b)
being a work of architecture is erected in Malaysia or being another artistic work is incorporated in a building located in Malaysia;
(c)
being a sound recording, is made in Malaysia; and
(d)
being a broadcast, is transmitted from Malaysia and which has not been the subject of copyright conferred by section 5 of this Act.
(2)
Copyright conferred on a work by this section shall have the same duration as is provided for in section 5 of this Act in relation to the same type of work.
