Establishment of other student bodies
of Educational Institutions (Discipline) Act 1976
Without prejudice to section 7, it shall be lawful for not less than ten students of an Institution with the prior approval of the
Students’ Affairs Officer given after obtaining the concurrence of the
Minister, and subject to such terms and conditions as the Students’
Affairs Officer may specify, to establish a student body consisting of students of the Institution for the promotion of a specific object or interest within the Institution.
(2)
The Third Schedule, except paragraphs 1 and 7 thereof, shall apply mutatis mutandis to a student body established under this section as they apply to the SRC.
