25. Disciplinary punishments

The Council may, in the exercise of its disciplinary authority, impose any of the following punishments:
Council
“Council” means the Malaysian Food Analysts Council established under section 4;
order the registered food analyst to be reprimanded in writing;

order the name of the registered food analyst to be suspended from the Register and suspend the annual practising certificate for such period as it thinks fit; or
order the name of the registered food analyst to be removed from the Register and suspend the annual practicing certificate for such period as it thinks fit.
The Council may, in any case, make such order as it thinks fit with regard to the payment of costs incurred by the Registrar, any complainant or of the registered food analyst.
Registrar
“Registrar” means the Registrar referred to in section 16; Food Analysts 9
Any costs awarded under subsection (2) may be recovered as a civil debt.
