Entry for replacing, etc., gas pipeline or gas installation
of Gas Supply Regulations 2023
A person authorized by the licensee may at all reasonable times, on the production of a duly authenticated document of his authority, enter into premises after giving notice of not less than three working days to the consumer or occupier of the premises, or to the owner of the premises which are unoccupied for the purpose of —
(a)
placing a new gas pipeline, gas fitting, gas equipment or meter in place of or in addition to an existing gas pipeline, gas fitting, gas equipment or meter which has already been lawfully placed; or
(b)
repairing or altering an existing gas pipeline or gas equipment.
(2)
In the case of an emergency arising from fault in a gas pipeline or gas installation, entry under subregulation (1) may be made without giving notice.
