Prohibition on transfer, etc., of Government procurement grant or contract
of Government Procurement Act 2026
No registered person shall transfer, assign or novate in any manner a grant or contract awarded under this Act, in total or in part, or any interest in a grant or contract awarded under this
Act to any person in any manner without the prior approval of the controlling officer responsible for the Government procurement.
(2)
Any registered person who contravenes subsection (1)
commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine of not less than three times the value of the grant or contract awarded under this Act or one million ringgit, whichever is higher, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.
