Section 20
(1)
Where a request for amendment under section 19 has been granted, and the amendment has the effect of excluding one or more industrial designs from the initial application, the applicant may at any time during the pendency of the initial application make a further application, referred to in this section as a “divisional application”, for registration of the industrial design or designs so excluded.

A divisional application shall be entitled to the priority date of the initial application.
