Section 49
Protection against suit and legal proceedings
(a)
the Director, Registrar, Collector or an enforcement officer;

(b)
any other person for or on account of or in respect of any act done or purported to be done by him under the order, direction or instruction of the
Director, or an enforcement officer, if the act was done in good faith and in a reasonable belief that it was necessary for the purpose intended to be served by it and for the carrying into effect the provision of this
Enactment.
(2)
The Public Authorities Protection Act 1948 [Act 198] shall apply to any action, suit, prosecution or proceedings against the Minister, the Director, the Collector or any officer in respect of any act, neglect or default done or committed by any of them in such capacity.
