Payment without grant of probate or letters of administration

(1)

Notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, where a person to whom any payment could be made under these Regulations dies before the payment is made and the amount remains unpaid, the amount so unpaid may be paid to his dependants without there being a grant of probate or letters of administration in respect of his estate.

(2)

For the purpose of this regulation, “unpaid” means unpaid by the

Government or undrawn by the person.
