Section 4A
(1)
This Regulation shall apply only to the Trusan Duyong within the port of Sandakan.
(2)
No timber raft passing through the Trusan Duyong shall exceed seventeen feet at its widest point.
(3)
The maximum number of logs per tow shall not exceed four logs per engine brake horse power of the towing launch or 150 logs in all, whichever is the lesser.
(4)
Rafts constructed for “herring bone” towing are prohibited. Only the conventional method of rafting is permitted, that is, each log secured at both ends and all logs lying in a line parallel to the line of tow.
(5)
No vessel or log raft may strand or loiter in the section marked by the red and white chequered boards.
