Section 25

Subject to such terms and conditions as may be imposed or such directions as may be given by the Minister, it shall be the responsibility of the Director of Marine to carry out all or any of the powers and duties under this Act or any regulations made thereunder.
Minister
“Minister” means the Minister charged with the responsibility for merchant shipping;
The Director of Marine may authorize in writing any officer as he deems fit to carry out any of the powers and duties conferred on him under this Act or any regulations made thereunder.
Director of Marine
“Director of Marine” means the Director of Marine appointed under subsection 8(1) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952;
An authorized officer mentioned under subsection (2) shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code
authorized officer
“authorized officer” means a port officer as defined in section 2 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952 [Ord. 70 of 1952] or any authorized officer under section 25;
