Section 55
(1)
All persons holding office under the principal Act immediately before the commencement of this Act as the
Director General, the Deputy Director General, the Directors, the
Deputy Directors, the Assistant Directors and other occupational safety and health officers shall, on the commencement of this
Act, continue to hold office until the end of the term of their appointment.
(2)
Notwithstanding section 9 of this Act, the members of the
Council holding office under subsection 9(1) of the principal Act immediately before the commencement of this Act shall, on the commencement of this Act, continue to hold office until the end of the term of their appointment.
