Fi pendaftaran yang ditetapkan dalam ruang (3) Jadual Pertama hendaklah dibayar kepada Ketua Pengarah Bantuan Guaman bagi khidmat bantuan guaman yang dinyatakan dalam ruang (2) Jadual Pertama.

Fi pendaftaran dan sumbangan yang kena dibayar hendaklah dibayar masuk ke dalam akaun amanah yang ditubuhkan di bawah seksyen 9

Akta Tatacara Kewangan 1957 [Akta 61] bagi maksud mentadbir khidmat bantuan guaman.

LEGAL AID ACT 1971

LEGAL AID (FEES AND CONTRIBUTIONS) REGULATIONS 2017

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 32(1)

of the

Legal Aid Act 1971 [Act 26], the Minister makes the following regulations:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Legal Aid (Fees and Contributions)

Regulations 2017.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 1 December 2017.

Registration fees for legal aid services 2.

The registration fees prescribed in column (3) of the First Schedule shall be paid to the Director General of Legal Aid for legal aid services specified in column (2) of the

First Schedule.

Contributions

3.

(1)

The amount of contribution payable under subsections 16(2), 16A(2)

and 29H(3) of the Act in respect of the financial resources per annum as specified in column (2) of the Second Schedule shall be as specified in column (3), (4) or (5) of the

Second Schedule, as the case may be.

(2)

The amount of contribution as specified in subregulation (1) shall be paid to the Director General of Legal Aid in such manner as determine by the Director General of Legal Aid.

Registration fees and contributions to be paid into the trust account 4.

The registration fees and contribution payable shall be paid into the trust account established under section 9 of the Financial Procedure Act 1957 [Act 61] for the purpose of administering the legal aid services.
