IMMIGRATION (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2017

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Immigration Act 1959/63 [Act 155], the Director General, with the concurrence of the Chief Ministers of Sabah and Sarawak, makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Immigration (Prohibition of Entry)

(Amendment) Order 2017.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 15 December 2017.

Amendment of Schedule 2.

The Immigration (Prohibition of Entry) Order 1963 [L.N. 227/1963] is amended in the Schedule—

(a)

in paragraph C, by substituting for the words “six years” the words

“eighteen years”; and

(b)

in paragraph E, by substituting for the words “six years” the words

“eighteen years”.
