  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Food Act 1983 [Act 281], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the

Food (Amendment)

(No. 3) Regulations 2025.

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2026.

General amendment 2.

The Food Regulations 1985 [P.U. (A) 437/1985], which are referred to as the

“principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended by substituting for the word

“spirit” wherever appearing the words “spirit drink” except in subregulation 361(1).

Amendment of regulation 361 3.

Regulation 361 of the principal Regulations is amended in subregulation (1)—

(a)

by substituting for the words “2 per cent” wherever appearing the words

“0.5 per cent”; and

by substituting for the words “regulations 362 to 384” the words

“regulations 362 to 384B”.

Amendment of regulation 362 4.

Regulation 362 of the principal Regulations is amended—

Amendment of regulation 375 13.

Regulation 375 of the principal Regulations is amended—

(i)

by substituting for the words “and other grain” the words “with or without other grain”; and

(ii)

by substituting for the words “12 per cent” the words “3 per cent”;

Amendment of Tenth Schedule 27.

The principal Regulations are amended in the Tenth Schedule, in Table I, by deleting the item “Wine” and the particulars relating to it.
