Peraturan-Peraturan ini mula berkuat kuasa pada 15 Januari 2017.

Seksyen 2

Peraturan-Peraturan Pendaftaran Negara 1990 [P.U. (A) 472/1990] dipinda dalam peraturan 27—

(a)

dengan menomborkan semula peraturan yang sedia ada sebagai subperaturan (1); dan

(b)

dengan memasukkan selepas subperaturan (1) yang dinomborkan semula itu subperaturan yang berikut:

“ (2)

Walau apa pun peruntukan subperaturan

(1)

Ketua

Pengarah boleh menghendaki mana-mana orang yang dinyatakan dalam perenggan 1(f)

dan

(g)

mendaftar mengikut Peraturan-Peraturan ini.”.

NATIONAL REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2017

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the National Registration Act 1959 [Act 78], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the National Registration

(Amendment) Regulations 2017.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 15 January 2017.

Amendment of regulation 27 2.

The National Registration Regulations 1990 [P.U. (A) 472/1990] is amended in regulation 27—

(a)

by renumbering the existing regulation as subregulation (1); and

(b)

by inserting after subregulation (1) as renumbered the following subregulation:

“ (2)

Notwithstanding the provision of subregulation (1), the Director General may require any person specified in paragraphs (1)(f) and (g) to register in accordance with these

Regulations.”.
