PERINTAH KILANG DAN JENTERA (PENGECUALIAN PERAKUAN KELAYAKAN BAGI BEJANA TEKANAN TIDAK BERAPI) 2017

Semua bejana tekanan tidak berapi yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual dikecualikan daripada peruntukan yang berikut:

JADUAL

BEJANA TEKANAN TIDAK BERAPI

1.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi yang mempunyai tekanan reka bentuk dalaman atau luaran yang tidak melebihi lima belas paun seinci persegi tanpa mengira saiz bejana tekanan tidak berapi itu.

2.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi yang mempunyai diameter dalaman, lebar, tinggi atau pepenjuru keratan rentas yang tidak melebihi enam inci tanpa mengira panjang atau tekanan bejana tekanan tidak berapi itu.

3.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi yang mengandungi air di bawah tekanan yang mempunyai tekanan reka bentuk yang tidak melebihi tiga ratus paun seinci persegi dan suhu reka bentuk yang tidak melebihi sembilan puluh sembilan darjah Celsius.

4.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi dengan dua atau lebih kebuk yang mempunyai tekanan reka bentuk dalaman atau luaran pada setiap kebuk yang tidak melebihi lima belas paun seinci persegi dan tekanan kebezaan antara setiap kebuk yang tidak melebihi lima belas paun seinci persegi tanpa mengira saiz bejana tekanan tidak berapi itu.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi, iaitu komponen paip atau aksesori komponen paip itu yang fungsinya adalah untuk mencampurkan, mengasingkan, menusuk, mengagihkan atau mengawal aliran medium dalam komponen paip atau aksesori komponen paip itu.

6.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi, iaitu komponen suatu peranti mekanikal berputar atau bersalingan yang fungsinya adalah untuk menyokong operasi peranti mekanikal itu.

7.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi, iaitu penukar haba plat atau penukar haba pilin.

8.

Bejana tekanan tidak berapi, iaitu komponen suatu pakej pendingin bagi suatu bangunan.

FACTORIES AND MACHINERY ACT 1967

FACTORIES AND MACHINERY (EXEMPTION OF CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS FOR

UNFIRED PRESSURE VESSEL) ORDER 2017

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 55(3)

of the

Factories and Machinery Act 1967 [Act 139], the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

Certificate of Fitness for Unfired Pressure Vessel) Order 2017.

Exemption 2.

All unfired pressure vessels specified in the Schedule are exempted from the following provisions:

(b)

the Factories and Machinery (Steam Boiler and Unfired Pressure Vessel)

Regulations 1970 [P.U. (A) 5/1970]; and

(c)

regulations 10, 11 and 12, paragraph 17(b), and regulations 19, 25, 28

and 35 of the Factories and Machinery (Notification, Certificate of Fitness and Inspection) Regulations 1970 [P.U. (A) 43/1970].

Saving 3.

Order shall be continued as if this Order had not been made.

Any certificate of fitness in respect of the unfired pressure vessel exempted under paragraph 2 issued before the coming into operation of this Order shall continue in force until the certificate of fitness expires.

UNFIRED PRESSURE VESSEL

1.

An unfired pressure vessel having an internal or external design pressure not exceeding fifteen pounds per square inch regardless of the size of the unfired pressure vessel.

2.

An unfired pressure vessel having an internal diameter, width, height or cross section diagonal not exceeding six inches regardless of the length or pressure of the unfired pressure vessel.

3.

An unfired pressure vessel containing water under pressure having a design pressure not exceeding three hundred pounds per square inch and a design temperature not exceeding ninety-nine degree Celsius.

4.

An unfired pressure vessel with two or more chambers having an internal or external design pressure on each chamber not exceeding fifteen pounds per square inch and the differential pressure between each chamber not exceeding fifteen pounds per square inch regardless of the size of the unfired pressure vessel.

5.

An unfired pressure vessel, that is a piping component or an accessory of the piping component which function is to mix, separate, snub, distribute or control the flow of medium in the piping component or accessory of the piping component.

6.

An unfired pressure vessel, that is a component of a rotating or reciprocating mechanical device which function is to support the operation of the mechanical device.

7.

An unfired pressure vessel, that is a plate heat exchanger or spiral heat exchanger.

8.

An unfired pressure vessel, that is a component of a chiller package for a building.
