WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS (FEDERAL ROADS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2017
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 70(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 [Act 333], the Minister makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Weight Restrictions (Federal Roads)
(Amendment) Order 2017.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 31 July 2017.
Amendment of First Schedule 2.
The Weight Restrictions (Federal Roads) Order 1989 [P.U. (A) 478/1989] is amended in the First Schedule in relation to the heading “TYPE OF VEHICLE”—
(a)
under the subheading “RIGID VEHICLES”, in column “Roads specified in
List I of Second Schedule”—
(i)
in relation to item
“2-Axle”, by substituting for the word “18” the word “19”; and
(ii)
in relation to subitem 3 of item “3-Axle”, by substituting for the word “26” the word “27”; and
(b)
under the subheading
“ARTICULATED
VEHICLES”, in column
“Roads specified in List I of Second Schedule”—
(i)
in relation to item “3-Axle”, by substituting for the word “30” the word “31”;
(ii)
in relation to subitem 3 of item “4-Axle”, by substituting for the word “37” the word “39”;
