Preamble

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Malaysia Act, 26/1963. the Yang di-Pertuan Agong hereby makes the following order:

Seksyen 1

This order may be cited as the Modification of Laws (Sedition) Citation. (Extension to Sarawak) Order, 1969.

Seksyen 2

The Sedition Ordinance, 1948 is extended to Sarawak and shall have effect therein with the modifications set out in the Schedule.

Seksyen 3

The Sedition Ordinance of Sarawak is hereby repealed. SCHEDULE

MODIFICATIONS TO BE MADE TO THE SEDITION ORDINANCE, 1948, IN ITS APPLICATION TO SARAWAK Section Modification

6 (1) ... ... Insert after "Sabah" " , Sarawak".

7 Substitute for "the officer in charge of a police district" "an administrative officer or to the officer in charge of the nearest police station".
